We build free, fast, privacy-first tools for the Telugu language community — no logins, no paywalls, no compromise.
AksharaTool (అక్షర Tool) was born out of a simple frustration: Telugu language professionals — journalists, graphic designers, DTP operators, students, and content writers — were constantly wrestling with outdated conversion tools that required installation, logins, or payment. Many critical workflows, like converting Unicode Telugu to legacy Anufonts format for Photoshop and CorelDRAW, had no reliable free online solution.
We set out to change that. AksharaTool is designed from the ground up to be completely free, browser-based, and privacy-respecting. Every tool we build runs entirely in your browser — your text never leaves your device, no data is stored on any server, and there is no account required.
The name "Akshara" (అక్షర) means "letter" or "syllable" in Telugu — it is the atomic unit of the script. That is exactly what we work with: individual characters, syllables, and the beautiful complexity of the Telugu writing system.
Convert Unicode Telugu to Anu7 and Anu6 legacy font formats. Downloadable as Windows-1252 encoded files — compatible with Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and PageMaker.
Transform English and Telugu text between uppercase, lowercase, title case, sentence case, and other common formats in a single click.
Count characters, words, sentences, and paragraphs in real time. Ideal for social media posts, SMS limits, and content guidelines.
Calculate differences between dates, add or subtract time intervals, and work with Telugu calendar formatting.
All processing happens in your browser. We do not transmit your text to any server, ever. There are no analytics tracking your keystrokes, no user accounts storing your history.
Because everything runs locally, there is zero server latency. Results are instantaneous regardless of your internet speed.
Every tool on AksharaTool is and will remain free. We are sustained by non-intrusive display advertising, never by paywalls or premium tiers that lock away basic features.
We build specifically for the Telugu language. Our Unicode converter uses verified glyph mappings derived from real Anufonts usage in professional DTP environments across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
AksharaTool is an independent utility. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anu Information Technologies Pvt Ltd or AnuFonts. The Anufonts name and related font products are trademarks of their respective owners. Our converter utility is provided as a public convenience tool; users must own a valid license for Anufonts software to use those fonts legally in their work.
Have a suggestion for a new tool? Found a conversion error? We want to hear from you. AksharaTool improves because of feedback from the Telugu community.
